Post by: ipacific on January 25, 2009, 11:38:36 PM
Time
With the International Dateline lying just to the west of Samoa, these islands are the last  to see the sunset every day.  Samoa Standard Time (SST) is 11 hours behind GMT and  six hours behind Eastern Standard Time, seven hours behind Eastern Daylight Time.   SST does not change during the summer months.

Water
Water is treated, but it is advisable to check the source of all drinking water. It is  recommended to boil drinking water or  drink bottled water.

Electrical Appliances
Electricity runs at 110 volts AC, standard American system.
