Leone Falls

In 1830 the Rev. John Williams chose the  picturesque village of Leone on the island  of Tutuila to be his landing place. This  historic area, located on a white-sand  beach in a small bay, eventually became  the center of Christianity in what is now  American Samoa. Also located in the  village is a monument to John Williams.

There is a road next to the Catholic  Church which leads 1.5 miles to the  refreshing Leone Falls.  At the base of the  falls is a freshwater pool which is ideal for  swimming.  Due to religious observances,  the falls are closed on Sundays.
