DIARY DAY ONE: Over the past two weeks we've been hearing from the many aid organisations that quickly headed to the Pacific nations of Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga following the devastating September earthquake and tsunami. Today we're going to begin a three-part diary that a couple of young aid workers kept when they landed in Samoa a few days ago.

Bianca Collier and Dave Peedom are from aid organisation Save the Children. Their job is to distribute emergency relief packages, and identify the best way for their organisation to help the survivors. Dave specialises in aid and development, while Bianca has worked in conflict and disaster affected areas such as war-torn Africa and Sri Lanka - following their 2004 tsunami.
