Title: Samoan Translation "respect my dreams"
Post by: Tavita Tusitala on November 29, 2010, 09:13:37 AM
respect my dreams

the word dream(s) in Samoan is translated in various ways such as:
miti -a regular dream that happens in ur nightly sleep;
mana'oga -desires;
mo'omo'oga, fa'amoemoega n fuafuaga -hopes, dreams and plans.

so is the word respect. aava (aahavah)
consider  - aloaia (alohaeea)  -thoughtfulness, n fa'aaloalo, fa'aaloalogia -giving honor or respect in the deeper meaning of the word.

so if the dreams here's referring 2 his nightly dreams then it would be.
"aloaia a'u miti (respect my dreams)";

 if he's referring to his hopes desires and plans it would be
aava, aloaia,

Respect my desires, hopes, dreams and plans
 fa'aaloalogia o'u manaoga, mo'omo'oga,  fa'amoemoega.
