Dwayne Johnson honored for DJ Rock Foundation
Wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson was in Washington, D.C. for the annual Congressional Awards dinner, where he was being honored for the work his DJ Rock Foundation does with youth. The U.S. representative from American Samoa, Eni Faleomavaega, presented the award to Johnson and placed a Tu'ipapai, a traditional garland made of Paogo tree blossoms, around his neck. (The actor's mother, Ata Johnson, who was with him at the dinner, is from Samoa.)
And the Scorpion King star seems to have come out fine from his own relationship woes. His ex-wife, whom he officially divorced last month, accompanied him to the event. She even got a special shout-out in his acceptance speech, when he called her "my beautiful partner, Dany."
The two have a six-year-old daughter, Simone, who was also in the audience to cheer on her dad. http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20041195,00.html
