Can someone help with samoan pronouns pls?!

ok so by this i mean the whole 'he, she, her, him, they, etc'...
my dad says its not like that but he makes it too confusing to learn..
he said ur almost saying it like "the girl is over there" instead of she is over there..
please help, i want to understand this better!!:)

Hi Samoangurrl,
some truth is in your words.

In Samoan instead of  "He is David" you have to say " David is a boy/man"
so there are words for

He/him (boy/man) - tama/tamalou 

She/her (girl/woman) - teine/fafine

They/them - as a plural for everyone - latou

It (it is/this/that) - le
