Kalofae ia ..... (the rest was in english haha) I am married to a samoan and have learned a few words here and there but never heard this one... and if you can tell me how it is pronounced too ... thank you

It's a little difficult to explain what talofae means without having the context of its use as it can mean a couple different things.  In general this means "poor thing" or "poor you", in other words, its an expression showing sympathy of a person or situation.
