- Rain (1960) TV episode (story "Miss Thompson

(1970) played by Carroll Baker
A missionary, his wife, and a prostitute are among the guests stranded at a tropical hotel during the rainy season.Aggie Grey and Bloody Mary
Aggie Grey was a friend to James Michener and reportedly the Bloody Mary character from his book, Tales of the South Seas. The place was opened in 1933 as the old British Club and in the 1940’s was a hang out for American servicemen during WWII. Just a five minute walk past the Hotel, you will find the only marine Reserve in Samoa, called Palolo Deep this is one of the most beautiful spots to snorkel in Samoa, a real bonus! Like the tune in South Pacific, Bloody Mary is the girl I love, I just have this feeling!
In “Tales of the South Pacific,†James A. Michener based the prototype of his character Bloody Mary on an Apia hotelkeeper named Aggie Grey, whose family still operates Samoa’s largest resorts. Michener’s book was later made into the musical “South Pacific.â€
Ok, Aggies is still a must-see place in Apia, W. Samoa. And inspired another famous Character i nliterature.
Who was the inspiration for Sadie Thompson if not Aggie?
Herb and Sia Scanlon's place in Pago Pago?
I confess to being confused here.
